Senior Product Manager - Expedia Cruises

Expedia for Business manages all of Expedia Group’s B2B relationships. Expedia Cruises is one of the key pillars for EPS that empowers SMB partners. Expedia Cruises enables travel agents and agencies to leverage Expedia's assets to run/grow their business. This role will own the strategy to transform Expedia Cruises into a more strategic pillar for Expedia in the long-term. This role is also responsible for the short term roadmap, partnership with engineering for execution. This role requires someone who can balance between innovation/growth as well as operational efficiencies to ensure we continue to delight our partners and their travelers. You need an experiment, fail-fast, learn and iterate mentality with the goal of making Expedia Cruises the leading franchise solution for travel agencies all over the world.

What you'll do:

  • Own the product strategy for Expedia Cruises through a deep understanding of our partner needs all partner cohorts and geographies

  • Work towards the north star of making Expedia Cruises the first choice for any travel agency looking for a franchise solution

  • Collaborate with business leaders to formulate and align on business strategy and with product and engineering leaders across all product areas to understand strategy, roadmap for each of their work-streams. Use these inputs to formulate a bold vision for new product initiatives, build in a scrappy way, fail-fast, learn and iterate

  • Lead the development of industry, customer, and market insights to inform product vision, scope, customer segmentation and GTM

  • Create an inclusive environment that champions innovation by encouraging others to openly share and build on each other’s new ideas, products and solutions

Who you are:

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with a high attention to detail. Ability to ramp up quickly and become an expert across our business with 6+ years of Product management experience owning and scaling products

  • Innovation: you embrace creativity and have delivered innovative products in previous roles. Passion for customer interaction and obsession for understanding and improving user experience. Experience driving new 0-1 initiatives is a plus

  • Bias for action: you have a bias towards solving big customer problems with scrappy solutions. You find creative ways to make progress and don't stop at any blocker. You focus on learning through incremental experiments, double down on what works and quickly scrap ideas that don't work

  • Proven situational leadership skills and the ability to motivate and generate enthusiasm with individuals across all levels of the organization

  • A Storyteller: able to build and articulate a vision and translating it into an executable strategy, leading with data and insights. Skilled thought-leader, confident and successful at influencing others to act

  • Passion for Results: motivated by goal achievement and continuous improvement, with the enthusiasm and drive to motivate your team and the wider organization Business Acumen: Demonstrate a keen understanding of business operations and the organizational levers (systems, processes, departments, functions) that drive profitable growth

  • A Team Player: thrive in demanding, intellectually charged environments, has strong convictions and can win credibility and contribute across the breadth of a business and its senior management team
