Senior Analyst, Lodging Performance & Operations

This is a great opportunity to be involved in the surging travel industry and help drive the business forward while working on fun and sophisticated problems.

In this role, you will be responsible for identifying and investigating opportunities to optimize business results for Expedia Group’s lodging line of business. You will assess performance, surface opportunities for improvement, and build a strong partnership across functions (product, partners, marketing) by providing shared context into performance trends and drivers. It will require close coordination with finance, analytics, and data engineering to enable the tools to efficiently deliver valuable insights.

What you’ll do:

  • Analyze business performance to identify key drivers, risks, and opportunities

  • Produce business performance updates in partnership with Product, Commercial, Finance, and Supply teams

  • Communicate sophisticated problems with clarity to a broad range of colleagues and leadership teams

  • Monitor and maintain a close pulse on business and operational performance across Expedia Group’s lodging line of business

  • Coordinate closely with product and supply teams to anticipate performance related considerations and opportunities

Who you are:

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent related professional experience), with 5 years of experience in business operations, e-commerce, analytics, or finance preferred (travel industry a plus)

  • Curious and intuitive self-starter driven by continuously learning, optimizing, and iterating to drive profitable growth

  • You have an analytical mind, strong attention to detail, and ability to analyze large sets of data

  • You can simplify by drawing clear insights and highlight the key items to provide to relevant partners

  • You have a positive attitude and assume positive intent

  • You have a growth mindset: ability, curiosity, and desire to learn quickly

  • You have a passion and tenacity to solve problems with creative and resourceful solutions

  • You are logical and use common sense in performing quantitative analyses and sharp sensitivity to business impact

  • Direct and clear approach to communication and strong attention to detail and excellent organization skills
