We want a resourceful, data-driven, and strategic self-starter to play a pivotal role in driving the dynamic pricing and machine-learning driven policy creation strategy for our insurance products globally. Your deep understanding of our travelers and key business value drivers will accelerate near and long-term performance by identifying, prioritizing, and rolling out new InsurTech product enhancements. Your efforts will increase customer engagement and satisfaction and will be a core lever of our strategic growth plan.

What you’ll do:

  • Identify process gaps/inefficiencies across teams and recommend improvements to increase effectiveness, drive business results, and develop teams. In addition, you will highlight areas where larger simplification/automation may be needed to continue to scale

  • Generate new ideas for developing deeper customer insights (i.e. new research topics and methods, new data sources, etc.) including ways to better quantify insights and build/use feedback loops.

  • Coach others to gain new insights and view opportunities from different perspectives

  • Advocate for cross-functional support and structure needed to accomplish goals and reorganize to align with cross-functional teams for optimal efficiency. These efforts will be rewarded and recognized with creative resource allocation suggestions and approaches to gain efficiency and improve effectiveness

  • Combine knowledge, skills, and product expertise (e.g., KPIs, audience, technical) in more than one functional product area to promote effectiveness and influence across the larger product portfolio

  • Serve as an expert on industry issues, including trends and challenges or concepts; provide guidance and expertise on unique situations. In addition, you will coach and guide internal team members on how to analyze and understand the industry and competitive landscape taking into consideration the strategy, roadmap and feature development

  • Influence partners to align perspectives, enable your own team, and remove roadblocks

  • Identify ways to simplify, phase and/or enhance feedback loops for a system change leading to smooth implementation

  • Coach managers on building trusting, candid relationships with their teams to enable productive development conversations

  • Identify and resolve issues that may impair the team's ability to meet strategic, financial and technical goals

  • Build feedback and data loops into system changes to enable continuous system improvement at scale

  • Use frameworks to influence internal partners and leadership on product direction/key decisions

  • Proactively ensure cross team partnerships and lead alignment of work with broader initiatives tailoring messaging to distinct internal partners and filtering relevant communication

Who you are:

  • Bachelor's, Masters or PhD degree in Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering or a related Technical field; or Equivalent related professional experience

  • Exceptional People Leadership skills managing large, cross-functional teams

  • Demonstrates experience in resource planning and optimization within and across teams to maximize results and achieve desirable performance

  • Able to effectively drive and evaluate idea creation of new ideas, methods, products and solutions that align with departmental and business goals

  • Past experience with AI/ML and/or pricing strongly preferred
