Director, Technical Program Management – Program & Insights

Expedia Group is seeking a Technical Director of Program Management to join the Business Enablement Technology team. The successful candidate will lead the Program & Insights function responsible for strategic oversight and execution of our business enablement technologies and connected ecosystem. As we challenge the status quo and take the CTO’s agenda to the next level, your focus will be on aligning business processes and technologies to increase organizational efficiency, improve performance, and maximize return on investment. This is an exciting, high impact, and cross-functional role. This role requires a highly inventive individual with strong stakeholder engagement skills, technical and analytical skills, execution drive, and self-motivation.

What you’ll do:

  • Own the functional architecture, processes and frameworks, data model, and insights for the business enablement technology ecosystem, partnering with EG wide teams

  • Define and drive overall strategy for business enablement technologies, short and long term tooling, and connected data model

  • Partner with cross functional teams to understand business needs and translate them into functional requirements, develop tooling framework enhancements, communicate changes, and align prioritization to overall CTO strategy

  • Bridge technical tooling alignment with all stakeholders (Enablement, Finance, HR Tech, Procurement, etc.) on tooling roadmaps and integrations

  • Define key metrics and implement dashboard and reporting mechanisms to deliver insights, hold leaders accountable, and drive strategic alignment with the CTO office

Who you are:

  • Experience with leading business technology automation, portfolio and workforce management, and/or defining technology requirements and frameworks at scale

  • Proven track record in leading program management, business intelligence, and/or engineering teams to deliver complex initiatives

  • Able to see the big picture, form strategy, and start / lead organizational initiatives with influence to completion

  • Experience working with stakeholders from across multiple subject areas to manage expectations, prioritize deliverables, and drive resolution when conflicts or issues arise

  • Adept at using data to make appropriate decisions on trade-offs and prioritization

  • Resilient and constructive when faced with change, able to shift approaches when needed in response to unexpected events and circumstances

  • Thrives on identification of key processes to gain efficiencies, scale, and actively simplifies complexity

  • Mentor’s others on what to measure and how to measure it
