Senior Product Manager, Marketing Machine Learning Platform
The Expedia Group marketing team is on a journey to build out a platform that connects a number of machine learning and data scientist teams together through a cohesive tech stack. We're seeking a Sr Product Manager of ML Platform to lead the charge in building and maintaining this platform with dedicated engineering capacity for each function. It is critical that our platform be well supported and highly available in order to reliably process the billions of marketing dollars that will flow through the pipes on an annual basis.
The platform needs to be able to support multiple use cases ranging from scoring all Expedia Group transactions to understand lifetime value to determining what bids we should submit to our marketing partner auctions that take place on sites like Google and Trivago. This is a great opportunity for a self-starter who thrives having multiple, complex projects on at once with the ability to focus and prioritize. You will report to the Director of Bidding Operations and be a senior leader in our Martech group.

What you'll do:
Develop and evangelize an achievable yet ambitious ML Platform product vision that will keep engineering teams engaged and excited and deliver substantial business value
Lead the ideation, technical development, and launch of creative ML tools, platforms, and products
Build data-driven annual product plans that nest into the wider ML vision and break down the plan into actionable quarterly goals with well defined acceptance criteria for program and engineering to execute upon
Get buy-in from stakeholders & leadership team on very technical topics through clear, tailored communications
Write product specs on technical and ML topics and create detailed user guides
Mentor peer product managers and guide development teams on why we are doing the work
Strategically prioritize across multiple spaces to deliver optimal business value and establish a culture of continuous goal achievement
Leverage your platform and domain knowledge to help create sustainable support processes in concert with program and engineering counterparts
Maintain a deep understanding of and develop relationships within the evolving EG machine learning space, influence cross-organization roadmaps, and keep your team at the forefront of technology and tooling decision making
Who you are:
8+ years of experience in technical product management
3+ years of experience with machine learning platforms
Masters degree in a technical discipline (Engineering, Computers Science, etc.)
You have an in-depth understanding of modern developer tools, pipeline integration, and cloud infrastructure
You have superior communication skills with the ability to filter and distill information tailored to your audience
You have a deep understanding of software development for machine-learned products and services, and how analytics and evaluation data can help improve those products
You can work with the ambiguity and create clarity using data and development teams' feedback
You are a hands-on self-starter and experienced with data analysis, exploration, ML Engineering technology & methodologies, SQL, and cloud computing
You are agile & able to context switch with intakes coming in from various stakeholders and users
You understand how to balance roadmaps that involve fast-paced stakeholder asks as well as long-term infrastructure & platform initiatives
