Director, PMM Open World

An indispensable and highly influential individual contributor who is expert in a affiliate and partnership marketing capability. Expertly translates vague business requirements into projects ready for delegation to other Individual Contributors. Assists with strategic projects and change initiatives of the wider group where needed. Coaches senior individual contributors in their skills and regularly interfaces with executive (VP/SVP+) leadership.

What you'll do:

  • Proactively seeks and builds broader organizational relationships that influence account/partnership development and management; creates opportunities for other account/partnership team members to collaborate with customer/partner team and build relationships

  • Coaches and leads team members to identify business opportunities and signals that the customer may need additional products/services

  • Leverages existing relationships to uncover business drivers and works collaboratively with the customer/partner account team and key decision makers within the company to affect mutually beneficial solutions

  • Persuades others by supporting ideas with logical arguments/data, recognizing what information to share and when to share it; builds support to resolve issues and achieve the most favorable outcome for the company

  • Engages in discussion in more complex situations to help others arrange agreements and ensure maximum value and sustainability for all parties

  • Uses understanding of the potential outcomes for both parties to create win-win solutions that identify alternatives to meet each party’s needs

  • Owns procurement and legal relationships

  • Advises key internal/external stakeholders by continuously helping them to successfully navigate through critical business requirements and changes

  • Utilizes deep expertise and contextual awareness to explore complex needs and issues with customers and provide trusted advice

  • Anticipates common pitfalls and provide pros and cons of alternative options

  • Serves as a subject matter expert to others on new ideas and solutions that will improve current business outcomes, processes and address challenges, and leverages other subject matter experts or stakeholders as needed to develop solutions

  • Demonstrates subject matter expertise in complex offerings and guides others to find solutions in order to meet complex and unique needs of the customer and ensure customer retention

  • Demonstrates subject matter expertise in complex products, technologies, offerings, etc.

  • Demonstrates knowledge of market segments as well as market data trends and makes recommendations accordingly

  • Demonstrates advanced understanding of the industry and its performance by remaining current on leading trends and interacting with industry stakeholders

  • Serves as an authority on industry issues, including trends and challenges or concepts; provides guidance and expertise on unique situations

  • Guides customers and key stakeholders on selection and application of industry products/services, enabling them with the proper tools, resources and knowledge for successful implementation

  • Makes recommendations to modify the company’s products/services, sales approach, prices and/or marketing and distribution methods based on advanced analyses of competitor information

  • Serves as an authoritative consultant and ensures that marketing campaigns are communicated in the most optimal manner

  • Prioritizes multiple project plans, making final decisions about priorities, timing and resources

  • Keeps abreast of the progress of multiple projects within a program or across the department; coaches project managers to adjust priorities or timelines as needed

  • Monitors resource usage across projects or programs, identifying areas or synergy or duplication and looking for ways to optimize efficiency


Who you are:

  • 12+ years for Bachelor's or 10+ years for Master's degree in a related field; or equivalent related professional experience

  • Experience managing a multi-million dollar partner marketing budget and leading large scale campaigns delivering exceptional outcomes typically involving cross functional teams of 10+

  • Contributed regularly to partner marketing community through blog posts, tech talks, major domain conferences/events, etc.

  • Renowned in the partner marketing community for technical skills

  • Defined partner marketing best practices at a team / capability

  • Proven experience in digital marketing across multiple channels

  • Solid understanding of marketing channel mix and relationship between channels

  • Identifies gaps in metrics / data and engages with Analytics / Data Product teams to address them

  • Recommends scalable data-driven methods to solve business problems

  • Makes sound business decisions by combining a number of factors to arrive at the best outcome for a given situation

  • Demonstrates ability to define partnership goals and objectives participation while building overall execution plan - forecasting, data driven decisions, trading

  • Expertise across organization and industry to build and define partnership agreements and resulting event sponsorship plans

New York:The total cash range for this position is $205,500 to $288,000. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $329,000, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.
