Are you a seasoned leader in program management or enterprise governance? Someone who is looking to establish a team that will empower Expedia Group to go after what’s next? As a Sr. Manager within Architecture Consulting & Assurance, you will be working to build a team of individuals who will be accountable for ensuring that all Standards are developed in a consistent way, that teams are aware of and understand how to be successful against those Standards, and work with subject matter experts across Expedia Group to ensure Standards are always relevant and actionable. This organization will also be accountable for helping to identify and track to closure any risks or non-compliance related to Standards through ensuring risks are appropriately tracked, the business has visibility into said risks, and has the tools and resources to resolve risk or non-compliance.
What you’ll do:
Architecture Governanceleadership & program management
You will lead large EG wide architecture governanceinitiatives while delivering value incrementally by operating in an agile, rapid enterprise environment
Youwill define what architecture standards mean in the context of the business
You will operate effectively within the organization's formal and informal structures by building relationships across departments and understanding the roles and perspectives of diverse partner and stakeholder groups
You will work across team boundaries with multiple product and program managers to appropriately prioritize work to align with Architecture Consulting & Assurance initiatives and goals
You will communicate across various levels of the organization to influence partners and Senior Leaders with audience appropriate messages about non-compliance gaps, risks and other relevant information.
You will actively identify and drive resolution on cross-team issues, scope changes, resource constraints, and other impediments
You will evaluate the full complement of team talent, identify gaps and implement action plans to fill gaps and drive achievement of goals.
You will craft the culture of your team by building team rituals, processes and practices that build strong team bonds and an open trusting environment where diverse viewpoints, opinions, and approaches and candid conversations and critiques can happen.
You will actively buildspace for feedback and contribution from the team to improve team culture and practice.
You will mentor Individual Contributors and Managers by providing advice and recommendations based on own experience.
You will prioritize team morale and productivity, celebrating team accomplishments.
Product strategy management
You will continually build knowledge about our Enterprise Platform & Infrastructure Architectureproducts, capabilities, usage, and future partner & stakeholder needs
You will craft solutions that empower our business to scale and adapt by partnering with Architecture Consulting & Assurance architects, key stakeholders,and business partners to solve problems
You will work with product managers to plan and develop products that support your business needs as well as the needs of stakeholders & partners
You will work with product managers to acquire resources needed to reach individual and team goals.
Who you are:
Software Product Strategy & Program Management
Experience owning or influencing product strategy & vision, roadmaps, and backlog prioritization
Proven ability to understand and discuss technical concepts, manage trade-offs and evaluate opportunistic new ideas with internal and external partners.
Experience utilizing Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid methodologies
Leadership / Interpersonal / Communication
Demonstrated ability to deliver results by working across subject areas and organizational boundaries
Excellent influencing and relationship building skills as well as experience working with senior management
Experience working cross-culturally and leading cross-functionally, and ability to adapt personal style to different environments
Problem Solving / Structuring / Analytical Abilities
Strong strategic and critical thinking skills; ability to see the “big picture” while also diving into details when needed
Creative decision maker who can work independently and apply quantitative rigor to analyses and tradeoff decisions
Strong program planning skills with experience structuring large initiatives in effective and meaningful ways
Understands functional metrics and approaches new insights strategically, considering impacts to the wider business strategy.
Experience/Education
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent
7+ years of related experience in a world-class consulting firm, technology platform product management and/or large strategic program management
Experience with regulations, standards, and frameworks such as PCI-DSS, SOX, GDPR, ISO 27001/2, NIST CSF and SOC 2
Experience with enterprise architecture, cloud technology, security, compliance, employee tech, networking, and/or infrastructure, in an e-commerce environment, is a plus
Experience with SABSA or TOGAF is a plus
The total cash range for this position in Austin is $161,500 to $226,500.00. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $258,500, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.
Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including location, available budget, and an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience. Pay ranges may be modified in the future.
