Cost Adjustment Coordinator - EGP
Cost Adjustment mitigates company risk and strives to aid in the accurate and timely payment of our vendors by performing manual cost adjustments as well as aiding in the development of automated cost adjustment solutions. Cost Adjustment Coordinators work from multiple high volume case queues while balancing working in a high production environment with conducting thorough case research to maintaining high-quality work standards.
Skilled internal communication is also vital to maintaining active partnerships with neighboring internal departments. Successful Cost Adjustment Coordinators have a high attention to detail, seek to understand our neighboring departments and how our work affects one another, can sustain a keen sense of focus for extended periods of time, are skilled at analytical problem solving & decision making, and contribute to team discussions of work content and team practices. What you’ll do:
Review a minimum number of cases as established by department metrics
Meet and sustain a minimum monthly quality score as established by management
Ability to grasp different currencies and languages and make correct currency conversions and language translations
Remove or reset the correct cost amounts according to case notes from many different sources
Create debit memos or invoice exceptions against partners who have been mistakenly overpaid
Process invoice adjustments according to established guidelines and case research
Be knowledgeable about the different Expedia, Inc. products and points of sale
Ensure each transaction is processed in compliance with company policies and procedures
Escalate and seek guidance for cases with missing or incomplete information
Exercise sound judgment on behalf of Expedia and the Financial Operations department
Complete and follow through on all tasks assigned or volunteered
Who you are:
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail
Strong organizational skills
Ability to work with minimal direction, alone and in a team environment
Knowledge of accounts payable processes; international diversity a plus
Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines in a high production environment
Ability to visualize, articulate, and solve payment problems
Strong PC proficiency including but not limited to All MS Office applications
Advanced MS Excel Skills are a plus
Must be able to edit, improve and manipulate content/presentation in all products
Exceptional typing/10-key/Data Entry proficiency with a minimum 5,000 kph
Ability to work extended hours/weekends including various shifts based on business needs
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related field; or equivalent related professional experience
1+ Year of reconciliation, accounting and/or data investigation is a plus
Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including location, available budget, and an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience. Pay ranges may be modified in the future.
