Senior Finance Analyst

Expedia Group’s eCommerce Platform is the core engine powering $100+ billion in transactions across the company’s travel ecosystem. We are seeking a Senior Finance Analyst to provide support and insights to the eCommerce leadership team.

This role collaborates across all levels of the organization and will partner with the business to drive commercial discussions forward. You will operate as part of a globally distributed team that thrives in a fast-pasted environment. This key role will provide financial planning and analysis support to drive insights, enable business decisions, provide oversight of financial performance measurements, help improve financial literacy across business teams, and drive overall shareholder value.

What you’ll do:

  • Partner with key stakeholders and senior leadership in the eCommerce and Payments organizations

  • Collaborate with key business partners to develop a shared understanding of business performance drivers and key metrics

  • Utilize solid financial skills and business knowledge to build financial models, interpret data, draw conclusions, and make recommendations that deliver results and drive improvement

  • Serve as liaison between eCommerce and support functions (Accounting, Procurement, and HR), on process improvements, ad-hoc research, analysis, and reporting as needed to serve business partner needs

  • Perform ad-hoc analysis as requested by business partners

  • Own key finance processes pertaining to operating expense and headcount

  • Support team members through the month end close, quarterly forecast and annual planning process

  • Be flexible in a dynamic work environment and be willing to do what it takes to help the team win

Who you are:

  • 3+ years of relevant finance or analytical work experience

  • Bachelor’s or Master's in business, finance or related field; or equivalent related professional experience

  • High level of intellectual curiosity that drives a sense of ownership and desire for continuous improvement

  • Strong analytic, modeling, and forecasting skills with the passion for using data to drive better decision-making

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and evidenced ability to partner with varying levels of management, across a highly-matrixed organization

  • Shown understanding of financials and budgeting processes; ability to interpret and present data in a visually compelling format

  • Well organized with the ability to work towards tight time constraints

  • Attention to detail and a commitment to data integrity

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment

  • Interest in learning new tools, processes, and systems

  • Hyperion Planning/Essbase experience a plus

The total cash range for this position in Seattle is $82,500.00 to $115,500.00. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $132,000.00, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.

Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including location, available budget, and an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience. Pay ranges may be modified in the future.
