Principal Technical Program Manager- Architectural Guild

We are looking for a Principal Technical Program Manager to help us craft and execute on the EG Architecture Guild. You will utilize your deep understanding of technical aspects of implementation and business insight to be able to ask significant strategic questions that help clarify and guide our teams through priorities and decision-making. You will strive for continuous improvement and find new innovative ways to increase execution efficiencies by being flexible and creating scalable frameworks. We believe in building world-class products and simplification within the technology ecosystems. You will be key to achieving this through close collaboration with senior leaders and architect leads across the company.

What you'll do:

  • Develop, evaluate and continuously improve operating model and framework to manage organization and execution of the Architecture Guild

  • Work closely with Architecture Guild leads to track and prioritize backlog, create working groups, execute and review proposals across all the pillars of the Guild

  • Own the operating rhythm of the Architecture Guild including meeting cadence for triage & prioritization, design review, Architecture Leadership meetings, and L&D sessions

  • Monitor implementation of program policies and practices; work to keep internal guild initiatives on schedule and functioning smoothly

  • Create and maintain program records, reports, presentations and proposals and facilitate positive relations between the guild, and other departments within EG

  • Motivate teams to execute with a fast pace while ensuring the architecture of the systems is aligned to the business goals

  • Proactively lead cross workstream dependency, issue and blocker discussions with a natural ability to adjust your involvement based on the need

  • Provide visibility to the current work and progress and establish framework for decisions to be communicated in an efficient manner to a wide audience across the company

  • Establish and refine guidelines and criteria for Architecture Guild verses internal department reviews and assess requests against Guild criteria

  • Responsible for all level of communication including communication within the Guild and to leaders and teams across the company

Who you are:

  • 10 years of Program/Project Management experience in a high-tech company

  • Extensive experience managing large scale, big corporate level initiatives working with senior executives

  • Successful track record of developing and implementing a wide variety of frameworks and operating models

  • Passion for excellence in execution and mastery in developing efficient frameworks

  • High level of initiative and strong bias to action. You are able to find a path and get things done

  • Positive relationship builder able to navigate through situations to ensure the most robust and pragmatic solution

  • Very organized and innately curious and skilled at zeroing in on the detail and uncovering issues but able to step back and clearly see the big picture

  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills, including the ability to present complex concepts to business partners and executive leadership

  • Inspiring leader, confident and successful at influencing team members and leaders across Expedia Group

  • Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Information Systems, Business Administration or related field; or equivalent related professional experience

The total cash range for this position in Seattle is $207,500.00 to $290,500.00. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $332,000.00, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.

Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including location, available budget, and an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience. Pay ranges may be modified in the future.
