Security Operations Analyst III

Expedia Group Security (EGS) is seeking a security, compliance, or business analyst to perform reviews of security provisions in 3rd party contracts. Working with members of the Expedia Group legal, procurement, business and compliance teams, the candidate will review new and existing contracts with 3rd parties to ensure that appropriate security language is built into legal agreements. The candidate will be expected to familiarize themselves with Expedia Group’s security posture in order to educate and defend this posture to external parties in both verbal and written forms. There will be a strong emphasis on staying current on the details of Expedia Group’s information security environment, cross-collaboration and relationship-building both within and outside of the security organization, and taking initiative to drive complex negotiations over the finish line.

Sharp analytical and organizational skills, attention to detail, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to effectively communicate and work as part of a team (as well as independently as needs dictate) are required. The ability to quickly pivot as priorities change and a strong sense of ownership and accountability are critical to success in the role.

What you’ll do:

  • Participate in contract review/negotiations on information security

  • Provide guidance in conjunction with legal/privacy teams on security topics and draft information security responses

  • Redline complex agreements and provide meaningful commentary as appropriate for internal and external stakeholders

  • Craft alternate verbiage that aligns with Expedia Group’s security posture and be able to defend the posture and explain in terms appropriate to the audience

  • Support compliance initiatives and projects as requested

  • Understand the business organizational structure and culture to best attain objectives and results

Who you are:

4+ years of experience in contract review/negotiation required. Experience in information security, risk, compliance, or governance field is preferred

  • Strong writing background, preferably in a legal context

  • Strong familiarity with technology, data security and data privacy concepts

  • Strong ability to explain and defend a position to internal and external stakeholders

  • Strong sense of ownership and urgency


The total cash range for this position in Seattle is $104,000.00 to $145,500.00. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $166,500.00, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.

Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including location, available budget, and an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience. Pay ranges may be modified in the future.
