Division Overview

Hubbell Power Systems (HPS) engages in the design and manufacture of a wide variety of products used by utilities. Today, HPS is deeply engaged in product solutions for OSP Communication utility purposes, and has been actively growing that segment of the business. HPS roots have historically been in high voltage transmission, distribution, substation, underground products used by electric utilities. HPS products are also used in the civil construction, transportation, gas and water industries.

Position Overview

We are adding a Senior Human Resource Generalist to our growing team!

Administers support and leadership as a member of the Human Resource team with clear and concise communication of policies, procedures, benefits, and pay practices.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Administers various human resource plans and procedures for all organization team members and assist in the development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures;
  • Performs routine tasks required to administer human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; recognition, and morale; training and development;
  • Acts as a resource for employee relations issues through the organization and consults with the Human Resource Manager as necessary;
  • Communicates leadership objectives persuasively and effectively with 1st line of supervision including group leaders to improve workforce performance, overall engagement, and strategic initiatives;
  • Manage the Leave of Absence process and work with employees timely on declined notifications that could affect attendance occurrences.
  • Ensure all hourly job descriptions are updated and maintained with signed acknowledgments kept in personnel files.
  • Have a full understanding of Hubbell Policies and local Work Rules and partner with management to drive complete and consistent adherence to ensure compliance.
  • Oversees / assist in the day to day delivery of Human Resources projects, programs, and strategies.
  • Act as liaison between employee and corporate HR, if necessary, to provide consultation and problem resolutions;
  • Responsible for employee engagement events: scheduling and communicating to all company, ordering necessary food, decorations, and prizes;
  • Perform a variety of professional and administrative human resource functions.

Skills and Experience

  • Bachelors Degree in Business or Human Resources
  • 7-10 years experience in Human Resources, preferably in a Manufacturing setting
  • Bi-lingual Spanish preferred
