Position Overview

PRC Process Equipment Operator

Duties and Responsibilities

Under direct supervision, perform a variety of skilled duties required to produce resin cores of many different designs. Specific duties include: mold inventory; core inventory; verifying the accuracy of each tank set-up prior to loading according the procedure; preparing batch card records according to the procedure; and monitoring and maintaining all process parameters associated with chemical storage, casting and mixing resin. These parameters include vacuum levels, temperatures, and volumes as well as general upkeep of the equipment used during the process. Must be capable of using measuring devices such as; tape measure, weigh scales, thermometers and other measuring devices as required. Alternating between casting responsibilities and mold assembly responsibilities will be necessary on a regular basis. Maintaining chemical inventories and ensuring quality records are maintained will also be required. Suggestions and assistance with various experimental projects may be required occasionally as well as troubleshooting assistance if problems occur. This job requires frequently returning to work after regular shift hours are completed to ensure processes are running properly. This position requires that you may be called in on off hours to help address process issues.

Skills and Experience

Must be capable of reading work instructions, procedures, safety procedures, JSA’s and various technical prints. Must be able to read and understand how to use a standard ruler/tape measure and weigh scales. Must be able to read and understand various machine gauges and or equipment display readings. Computer experience using Excel spreadsheets and Word documents is required.
