Position Overview

Reporting to the Director of Operations, this position is responsible for transforming the culture of the facility to a “Safety First” culture. In this role you will help foster a culture of proactivity, accountability, engagement and sustainability through robust programs and processes with the primary goal of reducing loss and liability across the Arden facility while adhering to local, state, federal and company policies. In addition, this role will be responsible for recommending, driving and implementing technology across site to improve energy conservation, recycling, ergonomics initiatives, security and fleet safety.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Oversee Safety Committee activities and projects ensuring team is empowered to take action across facility.
  • Direct Security Contract Services in order to show daily improvement in the security process using technology and standard operating procedures.
  • Manage large site EHS projects such forklift telematics platform implementation and security infrastructure improvements in order to reduce risk of injuries in workplace.
  • Working with Manufacturing and Distribution Center Managers, drive sustainability within the facility through use of inhouse technology and outside contractors.
  • Working with Corporate Director of EH&S, share and receive best practices across all Hubbell manufacturing and distribution facilities across North America.
  • Create and update EH&S Procedures and Policies in order to sustain safe and secure environment for all employees.

Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science, Chemical Engineering or similar discipline highly preferred
  • 3+ years of EHS work experience
  • 3+ years of work experience overseeing large project plans
  • Lean Manufacturing experience preferred
  • Distribution Center experience preferred
