Division Overview

Hubbell Power Systems (HPS) engages in the design and manufacture of a wide variety of products used by utilities. Today, HPS is deeply engaged in product solutions for OSP Communication utility purposes, and has been actively growing that segment of the business. HPS roots have historically been in high voltage transmission, distribution, substation, underground products used by electric utilities. HPS products are also used in the civil construction, transportation, gas and water industries.

Position Overview

Aclara knows that searching for an internship is as much about finding a company where you can picture yourself being successful as it is about finding the right full-time position. The Aclara Commercial Operations Internship will provide exposure across a multitude of areas within the greater Aclara/Hubbell organization. These include: legal, finance, sales, professional services among others.

The intern should be interested in how a business operates on a daily basis. The expectation is that the intern will contribute with forecasting, pipeline management, contract negotiations, proposal writing, and pricing conducted at the corporate level. Projects include contract negotiations, analytics for forecasting, technical writing efforts for proposals to name a few.

The intern can expect to gain a detailed understanding of how a corporation operates behind the scenes. They will gain a day to day/week to week understanding of what it takes to pursue technology projects from inception to execution.

Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree with a conferral date between April 2023 and December 2023
