Position Overview
1st Shift 4 day rotation 7:15 am - 7:30 pm (4 days on/4 days off)
Pay Rate: $17.82 per hour
Retention bonus: $1,000.00 at 100th day of employment
A QC Inspector inspects materials and products for conformance to specifications by performing the following duties.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Visually inspects products during/after process for structural and surface defects
- Ability to identify different part types and optional equipment
- Spot checks finished product to standard specifications
- Compare product with print, parts list, or production order and verify correct product
- Able to complete the applicable documentation
- Compare product with parts list or sample model
- Verifies the location and/or orientation of hardware
- Rejects defective parts with Reject tag
- Interprets engineering drawings, diagrams and confers with quality or engineering staff
- Operates any diagnostic equipment needed to perform job
Skills and Experience
- Ability to deal with problems involving concrete variables in standardized situations
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Practice and promote safety at all times
- Ability to lift 25-30 lbs on a continual basis when required
- Six months related experience and/or training
- Ability to operate a forklift and power tools
- Potentially rework product
