Division Overview

Hubbell Power Systems (HPS) engages in the design and manufacture of a wide variety of products used by utilities. Today, HPS is deeply engaged in product solutions for OSP Communication utility purposes, and has been actively growing that segment of the business. HPS roots have historically been in high voltage transmission, distribution, substation, underground products used by electric utilities. HPS products are also used in the civil construction, transportation, gas and water industries.

Position Overview

The SAP Business Process Manager will oversee the Supply Chain processes across HUS. This position plays a key role in leading, analyzing, and delivering solutions that enhance and extend the capabilities offered to HUS business units. The Business Process Manager leverages knowledge of purchasing, planning, inventory & warehousing processes, and familiarity with SAP to support/ partner with our SAP IT & Global Operations team to clarify detailed requirements and drive for technical solutions to be delivered right the first time with minimal need for rework.

The Business Process Manager is a key member of cross-functional, cross-site communities within the HUS organization. The Business Process Manager works collaboratively with the HUS Operations team and HUS Local Business Process Owners to implement and enhance SAP Capabilities and business processes.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Work cross functionally with the Supply Chain, Operations, Hubbell SAP IT Implementation Team, Hubbell Global Operations Team, and the HUS Local Business units
  • Supports identifying, leading the execution of tasks and communicating progress during all phases related with Supply Chain projects or initiatives, as well as ongoing business activities. This includes leading specific projects, input to project schedules and regular status updates
  • Support and Manager continuous improvement opportunities for purchasing, planning, inventory and warehousing processes, actively engage with HUS business units and Functional community members to collaborate and identify or support new continuous improvement projects.
  • Act as an in- house expert for project teams Leading efforts in trouble shooting support for the HUS organization, with timely resolution of issues including SAP system enhancement identification/resolutions, enhanced training, etc.
  • Supports the development of HUS teaching and training documentation by function with collaborate support from HUS Materials team that builds upon a library of training support. Provides ongoing support to the HUS functional communities to further develop knowledge
  • Support solution design, implementation, or enhancements, oversee and provide guidance on test plans and manager user acceptance testing and partnership with the site business units

Education, Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in supply chain, operations, business or related field, equivalent experience may be considered.
  • 5+ years of related supply chain experience, hands on material planning, production planning, inventory, or warehouse experience, required knowledge of SAP ERP system: PP (Production Planning), MM (Materials Management), IM/ WM (Inventory/Warehouse Management), required
  • Project management experience, PMP a plus
  • Internal Customer Facing Skills: strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication with presentation skills
  • Ability to capture business unit requirements and translate them to technical specifications
  • Extremely flexible and open to collaboration and to adopting new ideas to resolve complex business problems.
  • Exhibit a high degree of professionalism, customer service, and enthusiasm, combined with the ability to build relationships with business and technology stakeholders.
  • Expert analytical and problem-solving skills along with the ability to utilize the appropriate management techniques to plan, organize, control, and coordinate activities.

  • Understanding of MRP/ERP concepts and processes, SAP required
  • Skilled knowledge of MS Office Programs.
  • Ability to travel 25%
