Position Overview

The Process Development Analyst (PDA) works closely with the Global Process Owner, Accounts Payable, and respective team members to assist in the development, design and testing of transformational and tactical projects impacting the Accounts Payable/T&E function and broader Hubbell organization. This will be done utilizing existing technology or developing recommendations for acquiring/designing new process solutions for the AP area. The PDA works under the guidance and direction of the GPO-AP, building documentation and workflows to observe current practices, analyze capabilities of established systems, evaluate work volumes and document related findings. Assists in building consensus about required needs and changes. Translating transactional needs into efficient uses of enterprise, network, SAAS, or desktop solutions will be a key deliverable for this role. May work independently or in conjunction with GPO-AP to coordinate resources (human or otherwise) to implement approved change to various business processes.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead AP/T&E projects with strong project management skills and discipline to drive successful implementation and results.
  • Work closely with IT to understand systems and projects, participate in project planning and convey information to SMEs as required. Lead function for SAP integrations and transitions.
  • Inventory and analyze current systems and processes with support of functional subject matter experts with expertise in SAP.
  • Assist in the creation of solution plans that guide and direct on & offshore teams in how to best utilize systems and/or make recommendations on how to leverage functional technical resources in developing RPA, BI, and other local solutions to make functional processes more efficient.
  • Act as a subject matter expert in AP/T&E: helps test, document and train on systems supporting OHF including defining requirements of new systems or processes needed to support function.
  • Work with the GPO-AP to track larger functional transformation initiatives and make sure necessary documentation is kept up to date and that established deadlines are met.
  • Assist in or build business cases for projects that may require additional investment.
  • Participate in discrete projects related to process redesign, RPA, BI, and other transformation initiatives, using OHF/Hubbell methodologies.
  • Develop change management plans, lead or assist in training on use of new procedures and/or tools, and assist in post-implementation analysis.
  • Provide training and issue resolution support as needed to internal and external parties supporting the business function.
  • Build solid and collaborative relationships with formal and informal IT resources to gain an understanding of capacity, complexity and flexibility of already established systems.
  • Support the creation of presentations for management

Skills and Experience

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting
  • Experience working in a large corporate environment, with a focus on accounting related process improvement required.
  • Experience with SAP is required.
  • College degree in related business or accounting/finance field.
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook) at advanced level.
  • Experience with project management principles and activities.
  • Must have superior analytical skills.
  • Experience compiling and maintaining procedures and policies based on various inputs, including customer contracts, corporate standards, department best practices and external guidance, rules and regulations.
  • Excellent articulate written and verbal communication skills both in one-on-one or in group/team settings, as well as in presentations to groups of employees at all levels.
  • Demonstrated success in a goal driven work environment.
  • Works well independently, under broad direction and is a self-starter. Can collaborate as needed on various projects or subjects where a team may be required to drive results.
  • Ability to use basic office equipment: fax, scan, copy, phone and 10-key.


  • Domestic and international travel may be required 10-20% of time.
