Division Overview

Hubbell Power Systems (HPS) engages in the design and manufacture of a wide variety of products used by utilities. Today, HPS is deeply engaged in product solutions for OSP Communication utility purposes, and has been actively growing that segment of the business. HPS roots have historically been in high voltage transmission, distribution, substation, underground products used by electric utilities. HPS products are also used in the civil construction, transportation, gas and water industries.

Position Overview

Produce required components while pursuing continuous improvement in areas such as scrap reduction and effectivity increases, while minimizing cost

Working 1st Shift - 6:30 am to 2:30 pm must be able to come in within 15-30 minutes before and after shift.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead teams that are focused on the primary purposes of daily operation through safety, quality, service, and productivity levels within budgetary guidelines
  • Ensure hourly workforce is flexible and properly trained
  • Support efforts to maintain ISO certification
  • Develop and initiate cost reduction measures
  • Must handle the interpersonal aspect of the job including disciplinary activity, coordination with other supervisors, work rule enforcement, and labor relations

Skills and Experience

  • High school, college preferred
  • Experience working with Microsoft Office Suite up to intermediate level especially with Word, Excel
  • Working knowledge of Outlook, and TEAMS
  • Familiar working with an ERP system such as SAP preferred
  • Experience supervisor a team .
  • Ability to work on Saturday from 6 am to 11 am (once per month) on a rotation schedule
  • Ability to work until 4:30 pm at least once per week on a rotation schedule
