Position Overview
The HR Generalist will serve as a resource to provide customer service support to employees by responding to employee inquiries, and questions. Responsibilities will include providing information regarding company policies, procedures, and programs; processing requests/documents; and updating HR systems while ensuring efficient delivery of customer service to employees.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintains knowledge of legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions and ensures policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance.
- Coordinate activities to recruit, advertise/internally post, interview, and tests employees to fill vacant positions.
- Plans and conducts or coordinates new employee orientation to foster positive attitude toward company goals. Process reimbursement relocation payment requests for new and employees who have been relocated
- Temporary Labor coordinator for Local Site through outside contracted vendor. Includes obtaining personnel, verifying and reconciling invoices to labor rate and time sheets.
- Keeps personnel records, I-9's files to ensure legal compliance. Performs personnel transactions such as hires, promotions, transfers, performance reviews, and terminations, and employee statistics for government reporting.
- Coordinate annual benefit enrollment process for site employees.
- Responsible to maintain HRIS system including benefit election reports, personnel information of payroll to ensure regional site employees are processed and paid correctly and receive elected benefits.
- Responsible for working with payroll department maintain payroll system and processing weekly payroll
- Assists HR Manager/Director with coordinating the annual performance review program to ensure effectiveness, compliance, and equity within organization.
- Coordinates and institutes salary changes in Payroll system with Senior HR management approval.
- Maintain current job descriptions and timely revisions to ensure job description reflects actual position duties and FLSA status.
- Coordinates benefits programs such as life, health, dental and disability insurance, pension plans, vacation, sick leave, leave of absence, and employee assistance. Coordinate, manage and report disability/salary continuation for site employees.
- Maintain HR employee training database internal/external programs
- Assist HR Manager in preparing employee separation notices, exit interviews and related documentation
- Coordinates and generates regional site headcount and demographic monthly reporting to parent company. Maintains Affirmative action records in preparation for completion of annual AAP
- Administers Service Award Program for all regional site employees.
- Manage all Employee Engagement Programs
Salary range for this role is between $65,000 - $80,000 annually. Compensation is based on relevant experience and qualifications and will be discussed during the interview process. Hubbell also offers a comprehensive benefits package including medical insurance, dental and vision coverage and a 401k with competitive match.
Skills and Experience
- Bachelors’ degree in Human Resources, Business or related field, preferred or equivalent experience.
- Experience using time management skills such as prioritizing/organizing and tracking details and meeting deadlines of multiple projects with varying completion dates.
- Must be self-directed and able to work independently.
- Customer focused attitude, with high level of professionalism and discretion.
- Approachable and responsive resource able to connect with employees at all levels.
- Comfortable with high volume workload and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- SHRM-CP/PHR or SHRM –SCP/SPHR certification desirable
- Experience working with ADP is a plus.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Bilingual, English and Spanish preferred.
