Position Overview
In this role, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining accurate inventory levels, tracking stock movements, and implementing inventory control procedures.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels
- Conduct regular inventory counts and reconcile
- Coordinate with various departments to ensure timely and accurate receipt of goods, transfers, and returns
- Analyze inventory data, identify trends, and generate reports on stock levels
- Optimize inventory storage space utilization and implement efficient inventory layout strategies
- Collaborate with the logistics team to coordinate inbound and outbound shipments
- Implement and maintain inventory tracking systems, such as barcode scanning
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies
- Continuously improve inventory control processes and propose efficiency enhancements
- Purchase materials as needed
- Manage and implement vending control systems
Skills and Experience
- SAP experience a plus.
- Proven experience in inventory control, preferably in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail to maintain accurate inventory records.
- Proficient in using inventory management software and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with different teams.
- Knowledge of inventory control principles, procedures, and best practices.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Physical ability to lift and move inventory items as required.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies is a plus.
- Must be able to work independently and foster teamwork with others.
