Division Overview

Hubbell Commercial & Industrial (HCI) provides solutions for a broad range of non-residential and residential construction, commercial and industrial applications along with high-voltage test and measurement solutions. Position Overview

The Channel Manager is responsible for the development and implementation of the Harsh & Heavy Industrial (HHI) sales strategy and related performance within the associated region/market sectors. Working closely with the US Sales and Marketing teams for the various brands, this role will focus on ensuring Hubbell is establishing and maintaining strong and profitable working relationships with clients and partners for the purpose of generating maximum revenue and customer satisfaction. The position will report directly to the VP of Sales – HHI.

Duties and Responsibilities

Responsible for the day-to-day relationship management of various channel partners and contracted MSR’s (Manufacturing Sales Reps).

Act as a liaison between Hubbell and assigned channel partners.

Build, maintain, and manage relationships with current and prospective channel partners.

Establish productive, professional relationships with key personnel in assigned partner accounts.

Coordinate the involvement of Hubbell personnel, including support, service, and management resources, to meet partner performance objectives and partners’ expectations.

Ensures partner compliance with Channel Partner programs and agreements. Establishes necessary contracts and terms with partners.

Provide training and support to end users, contractors and distributors within the territory to sustain and develop their knowledge of our brands including any in house training that may be required.

Track and report channel partner metrics to sales leaders as well communicate and drive performance goals with channel partners.

Proactively provide partners with the necessary sales/marketing collateral to ensure the critical product differentiation, features & benefits, and “add-on” products for Hubbell’s portfolio are communicated.

Gather and communicate competitor’s products and strategies in the territory.

Liaise with all HHI sales personnel and businesses in other regions as and when required.

Inform the product management & technical team on various requirements within the HHI brands including and not restricted to competitor activity, market demands and requirements and any potential installation changes as issued by end users.

Maintain and develop route to market for brands via distribution, contractors and OEM’s.

Participate in a partner planning process that develops mutual performance objectives, financial targets, and critical milestones associated with a productive partner relationship.

Effective communicator with excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to build strong relationships with partners and internal.

Skills and Experience

5+ years’ experience in a Sales Management, Marketing, or Product Management role.

Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communications skills, with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong relationships with key decision makers.

Relationship Management: Track record managing complex sales relationships in a technical environment.

Computer Skills: Must have strong Microsoft Office, e-mail and other PC application skills.

Problem Solving: Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner; Gathers and analyzes information skillfully; Develops alternative solutions; Works well in group problem solving situations; Uses reason even when dealing with emotional topics.

Project Management: Develops project plans; Coordinates projects; Communicates changes and progress; Completes projects on time and budget; Manages project team activities.

Bachelors Degree in Marketing or Communication
