Division Overview

Hubbell Power Systems (HPS) engages in the design and manufacture of a wide variety of products used by utilities. Today, HPS is deeply engaged in product solutions for OSP Communication utility purposes, and has been actively growing that segment of the business. HPS roots have historically been in high voltage transmission, distribution, substation, underground products used by electric utilities. HPS products are also used in the civil construction, transportation, gas and water industries.

Position Overview

The Inventory Control Coordinator is responsible for assisting management in the implementation of a formal program to audit all areas related to inventory movement for integrity and accuracy. This individual will perform inventory counts and conduct investigations to identify and eliminate any problems found. This individual will also assist in research and processing of Inventory Adjustments submitted by Operations personnel. This individual will be involved with maintaining inventory accuracy in SAP, including areas such as stock location and bin location.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Monitor and control inventory accuracy.

2. Complete physical inventories/inventory counts/random or receipt audits.

3. Research and reconcile inventory discrepancies in a timely manner.

4. Implement and maintain a filing system of the facts, discrepancies, and issues identified during the inventory counting process in order to maintain accurate records that can easily be retrieved.

5. Ensure materials are in proper locations.

6. Conduct searches to locate misplaced inventory.

7. Report discrepancies of over/under amounts. Publish weekly and monthly inventory metrics.

8. Perform root cause analysis on inventory discrepancies and recommend process improvements to eliminate them.

9. Enter inventory counts and inventory adjustments in SAP.

10. Observe all safety rules and support plant-wide Safety initiatives.

11. Additional duties as assigned.

Skills and Experience

Experience:
- Experience with Physical Inventory counting and reconciliation desired
- Manufacturing support experience desired

Skills: - Self-motivated and energetic
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
- Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
- Proficient in computer operation (Excel, Word, etc.)
- Working knowledge and understanding of SAP
- Attentive to details and accuracy
- Good time management skills

Physical Requirements

- Able to stand/walk 10-90% of work day
- Occasional bending and squatting required
- Occasional lifting required (up to 30 lbs)
