Position Overview
Aclara’s distribution operations, sensor and analytics, and AMI solutions help electric, water, and gas utilities provide safe, reliable, and efficient operations of their distribution networks. These solutions include monitoring, control, and analytics for the network, as well as providing the communications backbone for managing these networks. Due to the critical nature of the infrastructure managed by our solutions, provable security is a critical aspect of everything we do. As the Software Security Architect, you will be the leader in charge of creating the security architecture for Aclara Software as well as driving the security strategy and implementation.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to define and maintain the security architecture for Aclara Software.
- Lead the adoption of organizational standard secure development lifecycle (SDLC) best practices and security requirements.
- Define and execute the security strategy for Aclara Software across all software teams. This includes identifying the key requirements, prioritization of the work, communication with stakeholders, creation of training programs, etc.
- Lead the prioritization and response to application security vulnerabilities.
- Develop operational security guidelines to ensure the security of production SaaS solutions.
- Act as Subject Matter Expert for addressing security related customer inquiries whether direct or via RFP.
- Evangelize Aclara’s focus and investment on security to customers and the market such that security can be a competitive differentiator for our portfolio.
Skills and Experience
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in cyber security related design and development of software and application software solutions.
- Strong knowledge on:
- C#.Net, Angular, ASP.Net with MVC, WebAPI, Databricks, .NET Framework 4.5 or higher, OOAD
- Azure Cloud development utilizing SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS
- Database programming using MS SQL Server and Oracle
- Experience with web-based development; HTML, XML, XSLT, JavaScript, jQuery, Bootstrap etc.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, flexibility and adaptability to change, decision-making and critical thinking skills.
- Expertise in applying secure development lifecycle (SDLC) best practices to software solutions.
- Ability to mentor others on the team.
