The 3rd Party Compliance team’s mission is to ensure our compliance ecosystem of processes, organizations and systems, effectively enable Microsoft and Third Parties to conduct business in a compliant and ethical manner. We are protecting Microsoft from corruption and other serious ethics and compliance risks, by designing and implementing a broad set of cutting-edge capabilities.

At our core we accomplish this by:

  • Managing the compliance lifecycle of our commercial partners​ and suppliers
  • Preventing corrupt, malicious, or otherwise disallowed entities ​from harming Microsoft or our Third Parties
  • Monitoring and deterring theft and other product abuse
  • Investigating and blocking bad actors from our ecosystem
  • Managing Master Data standards and processes
  • Designing and managing enterprise-grade compliance process excellence

Position Description:

3rd Party Compliance Program Manager

We are seeking a curious, growth-oriented program manager to help us use process excellence, compliance insights and human intelligence, to continuously evolve our capabilities for identifying and mitigating risk, and keeping corrupt and disallowed entities, out of the Microsoft ecosystem.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with internal teams and external providers, to ensure excellent execution of our Vetting service.
  • Develop expertise across the third-party ecosystem, to identify compliance weak/blind spots and close those gaps
  • Collect and analyze operational data to find anomalies and root causes of issues
  • Build strong relationships for effective collaboration across the organization's functional matrix
  • Continuously look for ways to simplify and drive process improvements and efficiencies
  • Push step and incremental process changes, using data and convincing storytelling to manage the change across all stakeholders
  • Contribute to the definition of user stories & success criteria for engineering clarity
  • Contribute to the rhythm of business (ROB) for the program aligning with the broader ROB for 3PC.
  • Define and track key performance indicators and metrics, to measure the success of the program and drive accountability.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Operations, Finance or related field AND 4+ years work experience in program management, process management, process improvement OR equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of experience collaborating with hands-on operational professionals and technical professionals in compliance-related domains such as anti-corruption, trade, fraud, human rights or cybersecurity.
  • 2+ years of managing projects and programs, leading change, dealing with ambiguity, providing creative solutions.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience collaborating with hands-on operational professionals and technical professionals in compliance-related domains such as anti-corruption, trade, fraud, human rights or cybersecurity.
  • 2+ years of managing projects and programs, leading change, dealing with ambiguity, providing creative solutions.
  • Measuring and analyzing ongoing business operations, identifying trends, and taking action
  • Ability to plan, organize and execute work while driving clarity and collaborating across boundaries
  • Strong project/program management experience
  • Strong written/oral communication skills required along with desire and ability to communicate with business leaders through all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to motivate self and others, can mentor and coach others.
  • Conflict/Negotiation management; ability to impact and influence
  • High energy individual with a “can do” attitude.
  • Strong end to end thinking with process orientation; ability to develop enterprise-wide solutions.
  • Good analytical and organization skills
  • Understanding of how to operate successfully in an agile environment (e.g. SAFe, Scrum, Kanban)
