We are looking for an Account Team Unit (ATU) Sales Manager Role Owner with business strategy and sales enablement experience to partner cross-organizationally empowering our global field sales organizations to drive digital transformation for both Public Sector and Commercial customers!

About the Team: The Enterprise Commercial Strategy, Planning and Execution team is focused on accelerating Microsoft’s market share across the Enterprise segment clients by driving industry differentiated value propositions through our sales account teams and partners. We enable our customer-facing account teams to drive digital transformation by engaging with C-suite and line of business decision makers, new business outcomes conversations opportunities and engagements. The team has these primary functions: Build the strategy & plan, communicate the plan with field sales organization, and support role execution and gather feedback to improve.

We have a deep focus on our Strategic Accounts and the Sales Communities across the globe.

About the Role: ATU Sales Manager Role Owner

This is a high-profile role in the Enterprise Commercial team and is an exciting opportunity. You will be obsessed with how to support our ATU teams worldwide to grow our business and delight our customers. Curiosity, a keen eye for detail and a passion for execution will be the keys to success in the role.

You will be responsible for helping the Account Team Unit to drive in year and in quarter business excellence, building & leading the Account Team Unit Sales Manager community, and defining the future direction of the role. You will work as part of the role owner function on the team. You will partner closely with Learning, Finance, HR, leads from Specialist and Customer Success Units, Services, Global Sales and Marketing, and Global Partner Solutions.

Responsibilities

What you will be doing:

  • Leverage in year performance results to define execution priorities and focus areas for the Account Team Unit and Sales Managers, working with other members role owners, and prioritizing the key business and financial outcomes for the Enterprise Commercial and Public Sector business.
  • Engage deeply with ATU Sales Managers worldwide, building relationships across the community to understand business challenges and best practices
  • Collaborate with Finance, HR, field leads from Specialist and Customer Success Units, Services, Global Sales and Marketing, and Global Partner Solutions to ensure alignment in goals and execution.
  • Build and own ATU level communication plan, focusing on execution and highlighting area/field best practices
  • Build role core priorities and partner with stakeholders to build capability plan
  • Capture feedback from ATU Sales Managers and prioritize feedback to understand impact of strategy and plan execution to partner with Strategy & Planning function to build into quarterly priorities or FY next planning

Qualifications

What you will bring:

  • 5+ years’ experience in Enterprise sales organizations, preferably as Sales Manager or Account Manager/Executive/Director
  • Experience of designing, building, and executing highly successful sales enablement programs at scale
  • Good working knowledge of Enterprise Public Sector and Commercial business and Account Team Unit sales teams
  • Strong communication, community and program management skills and experience
  • Experience presenting to and communicating with senior and executive levels across the company
  • Strong analytical skills and good finance and business acumen
  • Highly adaptable, and strong collaborator, fierce advocate, and influencer
  • Bachelors’ Degree or equivalent experience - MBA desirable

Location/Travel: You may be based anywhere in the United States. You can expect limited global travel, 0 – 25%.

The salary for this role in the state of Colorado is between $119,200 and $194,800.

At Microsoft, certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including annual bonus and stock. These awards are allocated based on individual performance. In addition, certain roles also have the opportunity to earn sales incentives based on revenue or utilization, depending on the terms of the plan and the employee’s role.
