Come be a part of SMT’s recently created Growth Innovation and Strategy team, responsible for delivering inspirational experiences and visionary thought leadership, high value scenarios, programs, and growth strategy & planning across our innovative portfolio driving the next new business categories and revenue streams in Microsoft.
We’re looking for a Senior Product Manager to lead the incubation of a computational chemistry solution that brings together the scale of Azure HPC, state-of-the-art ML models, and Azure Quantum.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include:
Thought Leadership:
Develop, test and land differentiated and durable value propositions
Sustain an engine of audience research to inform strategic decisions across marketing, PR, and engineering.
Drive storytelling strategy for use cases and scenarios and execute a clear content strategy spanning multiple stakeholders

Subject Matter Expertise:
Act as subject matter expert to bring to life the vision for advanced computational chemistry
Drive customer and community engagements in partnership with the Customer Engagement team both at a business and technical levels.
Lead a competitive analysis motion to provide ongoing intelligence to the engineering, marketing, and customer engagement teams

Industry engagement:
Define and develop new use cases and scenarios in partnership with engineering that span Quantum Computing, HPC, ML, and other breakthrough technologies
Help define and shape the product strategy through deep industry knowledge and customer-facing engagements

Qualifications

Required
Undergraduate degree
7+ years of relevant experience in product marketing, product development and/or program management
3+ years of e
xperience within the computational chemistry industry
3+ years of experience in HPC and ML projects

Preferred
Familiarity with Quantum Computing
Entrepreneurial spirit fueled by a deep understanding of innovation spaces and emerging technologies
Strong strategic and creative thinking skills
Comfortable dealing with ambiguity and complexity 
Intellectually curious and able to see things from different points of view  
Ability to absorb complex technical and scientific information and creatively distill into key takeaways, crisp analyses, presentations, and narratives  
Highly collaborative and able to build trusting relationships across multiple stakeholders 
Strong interpersonal skills, with prior experience working across multiple teams and functions, with the ability to effectively support management of stakeholders internally and externally 
Work on multiple assignments at once while meeting timelines 
Ability to work independently but know when to ask for guidance 

The salary for this role in the state of Colorado is between $129,800 and $194,800.
