The Intelligence Platform security team safeguards the data of millions of users in one of Microsoft’s fastest growing SaaS platforms. With both defensive and offensive security experts we discover, investigate, and fix complex security issues at cloud scale.



We are looking for people with a passion for security engineering and experience working with all aspects of high throughput and multi-tenant services.

Responsibilities include:

  • Drive in-depth security code reviews for critical path components.
  • Develop scalable tooling and automation to identify and remediate security vulnerabilities in our products.
  • Devise new methods to systematically detect vulnerabilities at scale.
  • Demonstrate leadership by mentoring engineers, setting technical direction and priorities for the team.
  • Use subject matter expertise to identify potential security issues, tools, mitigations, and processes.


Required Qualifications

  • 5+ yrs. programming experience in C++ (preferable), Java, or C# with solid engineering practices.
  • 3+ years of experience with the development lifecycle from implementation to production release.
  • BS or MS in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Security, or equivalent work experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience performing security code reviews of managed and unmanaged components.
  • Experience building tools to identify security vulnerabilities in cloud infrastructure.
  • Public track record of relevant security research, especially around vulnerability discovery.
  • Strong technical foundation and general knowledge of related Microsoft technologies including AAD, Azure, and competitor enterprise search offerings.

  • This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
