People Manager T2 Core Supply Chain Operations Lead

Are you interested in a global role managing the delivery of hardware for a dynamic line of business within the Microsoft Cloud Supply Chain? If so, the Network / Specialty Supply Chain Operations (SCOM) team is recruiting for an exciting opportunity where you will be the key Supply Chain Operations point of contact for the fulfillment of Network hardware to support new datacenter builds and technology refreshes, owning a piece of the business and accountable for metrics and continuous improvement in your area of responsibility.


Drive global hardware fulfillment in support of T2 deployments in the Network space, managing the team of Fulfillment Managers who act as the single point of contact in Supply Chain Operations for regional cross functional teams. As a part of this responsibility, you / your team will oversee fulfillment to MSFT datacenters world-wide, be accountable for metrics spanning delivery, agility and predictability, and programmatically oversee E2E processes impacting delivery commitments.

Lead, coach and develop a team of Fulfillment Managers, ensuring clarity of goals and objectives and inspiring energy to simultaneously deliver and transform the business.

Drive collaboration and continuous improvement for all T2 programs shipping out of global 3rd party fulfillment and integration partners. As part of this responsibility, you / your team will proactively identify risks, drive cross-team actions for mitigation, and drive performance management with these 3rd party fulfillment partners where required.

Ensure that supply constraints are proactively managed, leveraging business inputs to drive prioritization of supply across demand and ensuring proactive communications with internal customers and stakeholder teams on business impact. You / your team will leverage system data and solicit input on priorities, identify and understand trade-off decisions, and give clear direction to fulfillment partners on execution priorities.

As the Supply Chain metrics owner for the T2 CORE businesses, you / your team will identify the pareto chart of reason codes for delays and drive insights and actions to accelerate continuous improvement.

Drive optimization in the PO approval to dock process, as a key enabler for operational performance and cycle time reduction commitments to the business. This responsibility will require multiple touch points with teams spanning Trade, Logistics, Capacity Planning, Sourcing, Procurement Operations, and Engineering.


Required Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience in Supply Chain/Manufacturing/data analytics or any related functions in the areas of technology or business
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related discipline of equivalent work experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in Data Analytics to include Excel, Power BI, etc.
  • Executive presence with strong verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Ability to operate effectively in ambiguous situations, with conflicting priorities and a high degree of change
  • Understanding of networking infrastructure within an enterprise IT, Cloud or Data Center environment 3 years of people management experience
  • Master’s degree in Ops/Industrial /Manufacturing Engineering or Business
  • Experience in project or program management with proven track record of successfully setting up and executing operational processes
  • Lean-6 sigma black/green belt, PMP, Kaizen, CPIM/CSCP certification, or relevant project and process experience
