As Worldwide Learning Publishing & Release Operations Business Program Manager (BPM) – Employee Skilling, you will have the opportunity to influence our learning experiences designed to empower Microsoft employees to do their best work while supporting modernization of our authoring, publishing and release tools and processes.

As the Worldwide Learning Publishing & Release Operations BPM – Employee Skilling, you will be responsible for the publishing, release and targeting of our employee training content by leading the strategy and development of the Course to Role Mapping (CtRM) tool. You will work closely with program management, content authoring, publishing operations, and engineering to ensure the tool meets the requirements so our content is released on-time meeting Microsoft’s quality and compliance standards. You will also contribute to re-imagining our approach to planning, publishing, targeting, and release ensuring our processes and technology deliver inclusive learning products optimized for the learner experience while maximizing efficiency and quality at scale.

  • Work with stakeholders to develop & prioritize business requirements for learner experiences & internal tooling.
  • Maintain strong engagement with business decision makers and stakeholders to deliver expected business outcomes.
  • Work collaboratively with engineering teams to support and deliver solutions and new capabilities for successful employee learning programs.
  • Help modernize training and publishing through the design and implementation of future state business tools and processes to drive increased efficiency and speed while ensuring a learner-first focus.

Basic Qualifications:  

  • 5+ years of program management experience focused on combination of designing, delivering, releasing, providing training, supporting, or performing analysis
  • Proven experience with process improvements and/or digital transformation
  • Experienced with cross-organizational collaboration and influencing interpersonally to build alignment and deliver results
  • Analytical problem-solving skill set with ability to create structure solving complex problems
  • Create clarity and efficiency in process design, execution, and optimization through the disciplined use of process tools and methodologies
  • Proven ability to drive large scale projects with high collaboration and thought leadership

Preferred Qualifications:

  •  5+ years of experience working in and around Microsoft, understanding the Microsoft suite of products, and a work working knowledge of Dynamics 365
  • Experience with enterprise learning environments, employee skilling and targeting, and role-based taxonomy
  • Good understanding of Accessibility Standards (WCAG 2.0)
  • Working knowledge of Azure Dev Ops (ADO), cloud computing concepts and platforms
  • PMP, Agile or other process or project management training or certification, a plus
  • Experience with enterprise learning environments, employee skilling and targeting, and role-based taxonomy.



The salary for this role in the state of Colorado is between $108,200 and $162,200.

At Microsoft, certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including annual bonus and stock. These awards are allocated based on individual performance. In addition, certain roles also have the opportunity to earn sales incentives based on revenue or utilization, depending on the terms of the plan and the employee’s role.
