Microsoft’s Cloud business is experiencing explosive growth, and the Capacity, Supply Chain & Provisioning (CSCP) organization is responsible for enabling the infrastructure underlying this growth. Our mission is to deliver the world’s computer with an industry-leading supply chain.

CSCP is responsible for strategic sourcing, customer demand forecasting, capacity planning and management, supply chain planning and execution, capacity provisioning, and decommissioning and dispositioning of datacenter assets worldwide.


Within CSCP, we are the Cloud Capacity Planning (CCP) team, and our mission is to lead the world’s cloud experience through optimal, predictable, and connected planning. You will manage the capacity planning for the network infrastructure hardware. The team works with partners within CCP, CSCP, Finance, and the Engineering Groups to deliver capacity and enable new technologies and hardware transitions for scale and agility.

We are looking for experienced individuals with extraordinary leadership and demonstrated large-scale planning & project management success. You should have exceptional technical acumen, expertise in driving planning insights, and have the executive presence to lead complex and time sensitive initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • SKU level demand planning to incorporate hardware technology transitions & design changes across the networking portfolio
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams, track progress of projects for on-time completion. Drive continuous improvement in processes.
  • Support the analysis for Excess & Obsolete inventory, root causes and process improvements due to technology transitions.
  • Own weekly and monthly reporting of key performance indicators for the product transitions by collaborating with Tech transition lead.
  • Manage the analysis of hardware lifecycle information to create a HW ramp up/ramp down plan to optimize inventory & fulfill customer requirements.
  • Partner with engineering team to help develop internal tools to make SKU transition demand planning models sustainable and scalable.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Supply Chain, Information Technology (IT), Business, Operations, Finance, Accounting, Data Science, or related field
  • 4+ years supply chain, inventory management or sales operations experience, preferably in planning (demand/supply/forecasting), cloud industry experience, infrastructure, data science, and/or channel management experience OR equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of strong data analytical skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Supply Chain, Information Technology (IT), Business, Operations, Finance, Accounting, Data Science, or related field AND 8+ years supply chain, inventory management or sales operations experience, preferably in planning (demand/supply/forecasting), cloud industry experience, infrastructure, data science, and/or channel management experience OR equivalent experience
  • Knowledge or demonstrated experience with capacity planning and/or supply chain planning
  • Data center, Networking knowledge
  • Proven problem-solving skills, project management skills, attention to detail, and exceptional organizational skills
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills with an ability to effectively communicate with both business and technical teams.
  • Proficient at creating and analyzing business information and defining key business results/metrics with a proficiency in data tools such as Excel, SQL and PowerBI.
  • Leadership; Be an expert at leading cross-functional teams on complex projects with many variables.
  • Generating clarity; This is one of the most important aspects of what we do. Our job is to align everyone on the same plan and keep them there. This requires constant communication and diligence to squash any ambiguity.
