The Data Protection and Threat Resistance team ensures the trustworthiness of Microsoft platforms and safeguards user data - and we're growing! Our team secures the over 1 billion PCs, Xboxes, Hololens devices and everything else powered by Windows. We produce cutting edge data protection and hardening features such as Application Control, Windows Information Protection and HVCI. Our work gives customers confidence that their data is safe and devices are secure, even if targeted by sophisticated modern attackers.
We are building a new Enterprise team to drive scenarios which protect our most security conscious customers. OS security features only deliver value when they are used. Through our data pipeline and customer engagement, we know that our most impactful security wins happen when we synthesize cutting edge security features and real world environments. This team will bring modern security to our most attacked customers!
We are looking for candidates with experience leading engineering teams and possessing strong software design and development skills. You will lead your team to design, build and deliver enterprise solutions which secure customer devices and data. In this, you will partner closely with leaders in platform security and across Windows. This is a unique role that provides an opportunity to:

- Work in a dynamic team with industry experts in operating system security
- 9+ years of experience developing and shipping software
- BS Degree in Computer Science, Electrical & Computer Engineering or Mathematics or equivalent experience.
- Strong coding and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in a team lead or managerial role
- Prior experience in OS/platform engineering
- Prior experience in security
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
- Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
