The Central Analytics Sr. Sales Compensation Analyst leads efforts to continuously improve reporting, drives ad-hoc projects with high visibility, and manages key annual planning projects that impact every seller at Microsoft. This high-impact role requires a One Microsoft approach to success, partnering with a diverse group of stakeholders to ensure projects are successful from a variety of perspectives. A successful candidate must be articulate - both written and verbal, while also excelling at data analysis and modelling.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

  • Part of a team of experts in the continuous development of metrics and reports to assess effectiveness of incentive designs, quality, and effectiveness of quotas.
  • Lead multiple year end programs - define key objectives, establish timeline, work thorough the team and other stakeholders to ensure successful completion
  • Ad hoc projects often with Vice President through Executive Vice President visibility

  • Detail Oriented- Outstanding attention to detail with maturity in managing a global segment across stakeholder groups.
  • Advanced Modeling – ADX, SQL and Excel modeling skills

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in one or more of the following areas: Sales Compensation, HR or People Analytics, Investment Banking and/or Financial Actuary/Risk Management.
  • Experience with Advanced Modeling in ADX, SQL, Excel or equivalent tools.
  • Project/Program management experience defining key objectives, establishing a timeline, and working through a team to ensure successful completion.

  • Experience demonstrating interpersonal skills, including presentations across all stakeholder levels of a matrix organization.
  • Demonstrated ability for being detail-oriented, self-motivated, and driving follow-through of deliverables.
  • Experience incorporating diverse feedback, and working through others to harness the full potential of a team of experts
  • Experience transforming complex data into essential truth, so that leaders can make informed decisions.
  • Experience designing new processes and reports, and continuously updating existing processes and reports.

The salary range for this role based in Colorado is from $119,200 to $178,700. At Microsoft certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including annual bonus and stock. These awards are allocated based on individual performance. In addition, certain roles also have the opportunity to earn sales incentives based on revenue or utilization, depending on the terms of the plan and the employee’s role.
