The Data Protection and Threat Resistance team is responsible for safeguarding user data and ensuring the trustworthiness of the operating system. Our team’s work underpins the security of the Azure cloud and edge devices – over 1 billion Windows PCs, Xbox and Hololens devices, among others. We produce cutting edge data protection and hardening features such as Bitlocker and HVCI which give us confidence that even in the face of sophisticated modern threats, customer data in the cloud and on the edge is only accessible when authorized and the integrity of the underlying platform is maintained.
You will contribute across the Data Protection and Threat Resistance team scope. You will ship platform security features to meet the needs of our customers, drive scenarios and lead initiatives across the organization collaborating closely with partner teams. In addition, you will mentor developers elsewhere in the team helping foster a diverse and inclusive team.
- BS or above in Computer Science or related field.
- 4+ years relevant industry experience.
- Proficient in C or C++ development.
- Proven track record shipping large products and in large organizations.
Background Check: Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role.

- Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
