The Enterprise and Security team mission is to secure the world’s most widely used computing platforms and also to ensure that customers both trust what we build and how we secure it. Our largest customers expect Microsoft products and services to be safe, secure, and compliant with security standards and certifications across the planet.

We seek a talented individual, like you, who is passionate about security and demonstrating assurance in Microsoft Windows.


Your responsibilities to the mission will include:

  • Driving product security certifications and creating evaluation evidence for programs such as Common Criteria, FIPS 140, and security baselines (ex. STIG), for Windows.
  • Partnering with engineering team across Microsoft to design and prepare products with the most stringent security requirements.
  • Developing requirements, developing functional specifications, and delivery of tools for the assurance program.
  • Establishing metrics and processes to measure progress.



  • A bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or related technical field.
  • At least two years’ experience with IT security, assurance.
  • A growth mindset.
  • Excellent verbal and writing skills.

Background Check: Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:

  • Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
