The Network Infrastructure Deployment (NID) team delivers the hyper-scale, low latency, high reliability network connecting customers around the globe to the rapidly growing Microsoft Cloud. As part of the Cloud and AI organization, we support the needs of more than 200 Microsoft online services and several hundred thousand customers using Azure to host and run their Cloud Services in over 100 datacenters, running millions of servers and edge computing nodes all over the world. We are looking for a Technical Program Manager. You will contribute and execute on the strategies & business processes to deliver Cloud network infrastructure along with the related technologies to support global data center capacity demands in a dynamic, fast paced environment. You will need to understand the product/program lifecycle and will apply data analysis insights and knowledge of constraints across the delivery process and ecosystem to recommend process and/or design improvements that ensure delivery of capacity to end customers on time and enabling hyperscale cloud network deployments. You will oversee the development of tools and workflow automation in support optimizing our delivery and provisioning processes.

The ideal candidate will be a strong Technical PM who is deeply passionate about business analytics, process optimization & building applications to automate business processes. Someone who brings deep technical/problem solving chops and a passion for getting things done. We are looking for an experienced and very technical Program Manager to help us drive new initiatives in this space, from ideation to delivery.

  • Demonstrate a relentless drive to deliver high quality results on time.
  • Work independently with minimal guidance and take initiative to drive work forward.
  • Have strong written communication skills with a strong desire to learn and understand our complex business strategy and be able to translate this into processes that accelerate our ability to achieve those strategies.

Note: The Technical PM will be needed to do hands-on implementations.


Required skills and qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years cross-organizational project management
  • Minimum of 3 years of software coding/development
  • 1-3 years of business process design and/or optimization

Preferred skills and qualifications:

  • SW development in an Agile model
  • Scrum master
  • Workflow automation experience
  • Understanding of ITIL
