Business Manager, Operations Finance

The CELA Environmental Sustainability (ES) team coordinates overall science-based, measurable, and scalable sustainability investments and outcomes across the company – engaging with business groups to set goals related to reductions in the environmental impacts of business operations and positive environmental outcomes resulting from technology and policy development.

To support these efforts, CELA ES is hiring an Operations Business Program Manager Manager. Reporting to the Chief of Staff, this position will contribute to the broader operational and strategic needs within the team. This includes supporting the full life-cycle of budget management and providing analysis and reporting to influence leadership decision making. You will partner with other business managers, finance, and procurement to help us effectively and efficiently operate a complex and diverse team. Fiscal Management

  • Own the full PO life-cycle process, coordinate across teams and departments, track progress of team commitments and priorities
  • Drive team operations processes and tool management to help the business operate efficiently and recommend process improvements as needed
  • Investigate any PO complications and make recommendations for best way forward
  • Maintain and manage all PCCCs and IOs across CELA ES
  • Produce ad hoc financial reporting requests using multiple MS tools across multiple metrics
  • Suggest improvements to the budget process and investment modeling/tracking

Headcount Management

  • Track the action and status of all PCNs the in org including reqs, attrition, hierarchy, etc.
  • Maintain PCN hygiene ensuring appropriate and accurate, titles, cost centers, project codes
  • Perform deep dives on headcount usage and produce ad hoc forensic reporting

Compliance Management

  • Act as a resource for the team sharing up to date Microsoft operational policies and procedures
  • Ensure the team is meeting financial and procurement policies
  • Manage CELA ES’s compliance card for employee required training



Required/Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Operations, Finance or related field AND 2+ years work experience in program management, process management, process improvement or equivalent experience

Preferred Requirements:

  • Passionate about working in a true team environment, where everyone leans in to get things done
  • A decided bias for action and thoughtful problem solving
  • Ability to excel in an ambiguous environment and effectively triage several competing priorities
  • Prior experience with MS budget reporting tools
  • Excellent skills in using Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, OneNote and Word
  • Professional discretion and ability to manage confidential information with appropriate care
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent cross-team collaboration, with proven ability to work across organizations and reporting boundaries to get things done
