The Technical Content Development team in Worldwide Learning (WWL) is looking for an experienced program management professional to help develop and drive the cross-Microsoft Security, Compliance, Identity and Management (SCIM) technical skilling strategy for customers and partners. The ideal candidate will have a mix of Security industry knowledge, an understanding of the training & credentials market, strong portfolio management skills, and excellent cross-organization collaboration & executive presence skills.

Within WWL, the Technical Content Development team’s mission is to help IT professionals, developers, and consumers build their technical skills and advance their careers through technical training and credentials. Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

  • Content Delivery and Portfolio Strategy: Drives content delivery for multiple key areas and/or plays a role in driving divisional content strategy across channels/modalities/topics. Makes data-driven recommendations to ensure a holistic user experience across portfolio(s) of Microsoft products and organizations while representing broader content guidelines and organizational goals. Influences the content and customer experience across products and the organization. Designs future content themes and experiences through content curation that respond to cultural, global, industry, or competitive trends, or previously unidentified wants or needs in the marketplace.
  • Thought Leadership: Uses business knowledge and technical expertise to assist with analyzing the work of the product development, engineering, and other relevant teams to identify potential future business opportunities. Drives collaboration across teams using deep knowledge of industry trends, methodologies, technologies, and advances. Researches and maintains deep knowledge of advancements in industry trends and technologies. Shares knowledge, best practices, and insights with the broader industry through various mediums (e.g., conferences, white papers, blog posts). Drives innovation efforts with other teams.
  • Partner/Stakeholder Engagement: Influences and transforms the relationship with stakeholders to equip and enable them with relevant information. Drives and develops the technical skilling stakeholder strategy across the company to define mutual goals and define the rhythm of business. Recommends and determines strategic business direction to meet projected needs of stakeholders and learners. Proactively seeks opportunities and plans, organizes, and coordinates activities to provide expertise and insights at industry/third-party events.
  • Driving Business Impact and Continuous Improvement: Finds opportunities to scale and consolidate tools, processes, and methods across the business, and removes barriers to ensure implementation. Defines objectives and key results (OKRs) and monitors how they drive business across a number of key performance indicators (KPIs). Monitors success and makes recommendations based on performance of those objectives. Partners with the product development team to flight technical skilling and credential experiences based on the user base and known user information. Stays current with technical skilling, credential and porftolio management expertise and is able to act as a consultant for functional teams.

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

  • 7+ years experience in program management, digital content publishing and management, or experience in a writing or editing role
    • OR equivalent experience

Additional or Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 7+ years experience in program management, content publishing/management, or experience in a writing or editing role
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • 7+ years recent experience with digital publishing modalities (e.g., Web, social media, in-product, training, online ads).
  • 3+ years experience working in a complex, matrixed organization.
  • Experience using Universal Design for Learning standards to help make learning experiences more inclusive to audiences with diverse backgrounds and learning styles
  • Experience with Agile development methodology

In the State of Colorado, the salary range for this role is from $148,00 to $222,000.

At Microsoft certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including annual bonus and stock. These awards are allocated based on individual performance. In addition, certain roles also have the opportunity to earn sales incentives based on revenue or utilization, depending on the terms of the plan and the employee’s role.
