As Worldwide Learning Technical Program Manager (TPM) – Employee Skilling and a Member of our Publishing and Release Operations Team, you will have the opportunity to influence our learning experiences designed to empower Microsoft employees to do their best work while supporting modernization of our authoring, publishing and release tools and processes. 
  
Your primary responsibility will include technical program management for the learning tools used for skilling our employees including our Learning Management System and our proprietary, enterprise-wide targeting tool. You will work closely with business program management, content authoring, publishing operations, and engineering to ensure the tools meets the requirements for delivering a world class customer experience and a simple, yet robust administrative tool. You will also serve as a subject matter expert (SME) on these tools for learning professionals across Microsoft.

Responsibilities

Learning Product & Program Management Tools & Services (Definition and Development) 

  • Oversee technical program management on behalf of the learning business for key employee skills tools and platforms, including feature releases, run-business maintenance, and business requirements across a broad Microsoft business stakeholder audience. 
  • Closely engage with various learning products teams and learning program teams to define and prioritize the requirements majorly including workflow, data flow, automation, reporting metrics and expected schedule.    
  • Partner with other engineering teams in the ecosystem to design end to end engineering solutions via mapping requirements into engineering features/services with suitable technologies and platforms, embedding security and accessibility compliance at the very beginning  
  • Collaborate to deliver and maintain WWL learning product & program management tools & automation services  


Tools & Services Performance and Maintenance  

  • Manage user education and user support to amplify the efficiency of content authoring and publishing tools, learning product management and learning program management.  
  • Own and define the success metrics, monitor the tool availability, security & accessibility compliance, and proactively get feedback to explore and plan next optimization

Required/Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 2+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development
    OR equivalent experience.
  • 1+ year(s) experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.


Additional or Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 4+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development
    OR equivalent experience.
  • 4+ years experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.
  • 1+ year(s) experience reading and/or writing code (e.g., sample documentation, product demos).
