Within Azure Hardware Systems & Infrastructure, the Spares and Warranty team is responsible for ensuring that the right spare parts, are in the right place, at the right time in support of delivering global capacity requirements.

We are looking for a Supply Chain Planning Professional to deliver Engineering & Hardware Equipment spare parts at cloud scale and in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. You will provide and enable core services in support of global teams by engineering and managing demand and supply processes and ensuring a reliable delivery of Service Parts to the datacenters.

Responsibilities

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Drive Supply Chain Planning and Inventory Management activities across operations, engineering, and support groups.
  • Program Management of key strategic and transformational initiatives.
  • Enable data, process, and tools to optimize inventory of parts, globally.
  • Build strong working relationships across multiple disciplines and teams, driving influence across.
  • Drive analysis & insights of KPIs.
  • Help drive automated solutions and scale over time.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Supply Chain, Business, or equivalent work experience 

5+ years demonstrated experience in the Cloud server/network hardware, and/or supply chain engineering in a complex, large-scale manufacturing supply chain operation

3+ Experience in Planning and Operations and/or maintenance & repair operations environments (service & repair)

Proficient with Microsoft Office applications

Preferred qualifications:

Understanding of process engineering and software development lifecycle, including gathering, analyzing, defining business and functional requirements; creating global metrics, trend charts & other decision-making tools

Expertise in deployment & service of high-performance, highly available, large scale server hardware, network device and related technologies, preferably in tier one cloud provider datacenters.

Knowledge and understanding of cloud infrastructure and datacenter issues such as physical space, rack units, break-fix requirements, and incident management.

Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities, and work well under pressure with minimal guidance

Demonstrated inventory planning expertise, including multi-echelon inventory optimization

Strong process/system background and proven ability to rapidly understand, use and drive improvements in new processes/systems.

Demonstrated technical problem solving and communication skills with a focus on process engineering and automation

Comfortable working in a fast-paced dynamic environment with rapidly changing requirements

Strong critical thinking and ability to drive resolution in ambiguous situations

Detail oriented, ability to communicate complex problems and solutions, strong drive to collaborate, strong bias for action to close out problems, very comfortable working with numbers

Good business judgment, executive communication/presentation skills, and persistent attention to detail

Strong working knowledge of key IT and service industry concepts

Strong analytical capabilities & experience with time-series modeling, optimization, and statistical analysis is a plus

Demonstrated expertise in program management methodologies, process, and tools

Lean/Six-Sigma training, CPIM/CSCP certification useful

Experience with ERP/MRP systems is a plus.

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role.
