The charter of the Azure Security group is to ensure that Azure is the most secure and resilient cloud platform. This role will give you an opportunity to build the platform for managing various HSM workloads in Microsoft. You will directly contribute to Azure Key Vault Managed Hardware Security Module service and will play a critical role in providing Microsoft customers with world class high-speed cryptographic processing and key isolation.

You will be working in a fast-paced environment to build and deliver reliable, highly-available, distributed services end-to-end that integrate with core Azure components like the base Compute Fabric, Software Defined Networking, Storage as well as world-class crypto-processing hardware.

This role provides an opportunity to:

Build a low-touch, auto-recovering control system for reducing COGS and improving security


We are looking for candidates with strong software design and coding skills. This role requires a technically proficient engineer who has experience building a scalable production system and operationalizing it.

Your primary responsibilities are to design, code and operationalize a new highly performant and scalable Azure security service targeted at extremely sensitive crypto-processing workloads.


Required Qualifications:

  • Strong design and development experience that includes development in C#/C++/C/Python.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent.
  • Passion for building and designing hyper scale systems.
  • Experience building and operationalizing scalable distributed systems

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with micro services architecture. Specifically experience with Microsoft Service Fabric is a plus.
  • Ability to learn and grasp concepts quickly in a fast-paced environment is critical to success.
  • Ability to multitask while balancing short-term and long-term needs is essential.
  • Demonstrated problem solving and debugging skills.
