Responsibilities

The Group Engineering Manager role would be key in leading a technical charter in the platform security space, managing a group of engineers and managers, and collaborating with partner teams to build and integrate products.

This role is responsible for leading and delivering security platform capabilities for Edge, that empowers workloads to run securely on physical or virtual end points, protects customer and business asset, and enables true hybrid infrastructure and platform. As a people manager, the role is responsible to recruit, retain, and build high performing team and grow other leaders, and ensure smooth execution of plan, and integration with other product teams. It’s a team with existing technologies as well as new areas in startup mode, and requires the manager to balance between innovation and devops to support customers.

Qualifications

The role requires experience in large scale engineering and people management. Ideal candidate should have

  • 10+ years of software engineering experience
  • 5+ years people management experience
  • domain knowledge in security
  • engineering process and methodology for large scale development, project execution and integration
  • demonstrate leadership abilities in creating clarity, generate energy, and deliver success
  • ability to lead with integrity and remain calm during stressful situations while managing multiple demands and priorities
  • technical leadership to provide technical guidance on technology issues, designs, and ideas.

Background Check: Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:

  • Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
