In this role as Director of Security Partner Strategy, you will be responsible for:

1) The work across our Global Partner team to influence and design partner programs for security partners aimed at driving long term usage and success for our customers.

2) Cultivating and recruiting key partners withdeep skills in deploying our Microsoft 365 Defender and security solutions

3) Working with marketing to tune programs and investments to ensure partners can build successful business deploying Microsoft Security workloads

4) Partnering with Engineering to understand critical technology to enable our partners business models.

The ideal candidate will have a deep passion for technology, and a strong understanding of the enterprise security space. In addition, you will have experience in partner channel and strategy, ideally with security technology along with the ability to analyze and diagnose both business and communication challenges, formulate solutions, and then motivate the broader organization to action. Success in this role will require the development of strong working relationships with our engineering teams, as well as and other sales, product and marketing groups across Microsoft.


Required Qualifications

  • 8-10+ years of security technology or software partner or partner/channel marketing experience required
  • Deep skills in deploying Microsoft security solutions or other competing security solutions
  • A successful history of leading teams (or v-teams) and encouraging team and individual capability

Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience as a business leader in small groups and at scale
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving, written, and verbal communications skills
  • Successful track record of working collaboratively across multiple engineering and marketing teams

The salary for this role in the state of Colorado is between $161,800 and $242,600.

At Microsoft, certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including annual bonus and stock. These awards are allocated based on individual performance. In addition, certain roles also have the opportunity to earn sales incentives based on revenue or utilization, depending on the terms of the plan and the employee’s role.
