Microsoft's hardware teams incubate advanced technologies and build deep partnerships with internal research, product planning, and marketing teams. Microsoft ships tens of millions of hardware products every year, including the Xbox, Surface devices, HoloLens, accessories, and much more. Responsibilities

In this role you will collaborate with various cross functional teams to drive definition and delivery of accelerator SoC from concept to production. We are looking for a strong technical leader who communicates well and possesses great collaboration skills to join our team. The responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Lead the end-to-end SoC development from the concept phase, to overseeing the execution all the way through to silicon productization.
  • Work in close collaboration with various cross functional teams including architecture, design, technology, platform, software, post-si and manufacturing to drive cost/schedule/capability trade-offs
  • Organizational management responsibility for some silicon development functions.

Qualifications

  • BS/MS in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, OR equivalent work experience 
  • 15+ years’ experience of silicon engineering
  • Hands-on experience in leading silicon development projects
  • Breadth of knowledge of various phases of silicon development process, platform planning and design, product level architectural trade-offs, advanced packaging technologies, product level power-performance trade-offs and optimizations, etc.
  • Strong organizational skills to build and scale up highly skilled teams, bring in design execution efficiency through improvement in design execution processes.
  • Working with ambiguity and lead the teams to develop clear vision and strategy for product development.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
