Microsoft needs partners to build additional services (IP), embed our platform into their own finished services and build out multi-cloud managed services, all of which accelerates consumption.

Given our focus on partners at the heart of what we do, are you interested in playing a critical role in the strategic direction of our Global Channel Sales (GCS) organization? The Microsoft Customer and Partner Solutions (MCAPS) finance team is looking for a strong candidate who can work in a results-driven, dynamic environment in a business area with continued high growth opportunities.

Within Microsoft’s commercial business, the GCS partner team helps our customers on their global digital transformation and cloud adoption which is critical to Microsoft’s continued success. The Finance Manager will be an integral member working closely with the MCAPS GPS –Global Channel Sales business team driving insights and strategy.


  • Partner with the GPS Global Channel Sales (GCS) business team to execute the monthly ROB and performance deliverables
  • Evaluate the health of the overall businesses and provide deep insights on the cloud transformation from the partner lens to include, but not limited to: revenue and non-revenue KPIs, global target accountability, and partner-specific performance against targets, and custom deals/investments
  • Core accountabilities for this role include:
    • Partner with GCS leads, global PDMs, and solution area SMEs to drive execution of the business, accurate reporting of the segment’s impact and contribution within GPS/commercial, and become a trusted advisor to the GCS LT
    • Drive the development of new analytics, including forward looking business analytics on go to market strategies, partner program KPIs, and promote knowledge-sharing with other GPS finance leads
    • Collaborate proactively across GPS and engage Field Controllers to evangelize trends and influence business decisions, and solicit feedback for greater alignment between MCAPS Core and field
    • Ad hoc, project-based analytics to support various business initiatives


Basic Qualifications:

  • Driven, self-starter capable of effectively prioritizing and operating with a high degree of ambiguity in a fast-paced and changing environment
  • Proven ability to partner, build trust, communicate with and influence senior leaders and business partners
  • Team player - must have the ability to manage across organizational boundaries, influence others and build on the work of others
  • Must have a minimum of 4 years expert Excel experience and be familiar with advanced functions and charting capabilities
  • BS/BA degree in Finance or Economics
