Accounting Representative II - Accounts Receivable

Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities
Performs a variety of routine and non-routine accounting functions, in accordance with procedures.
- Post daily cash receipts timely and accurately.
- Gather electronic payment data and complete daily bank reconciliations.
- Complete month-end and year-end processes including journal entries and account reconciliations for assigned ledger accounts.
- Support monthly producer commission payment process for producer partners. Research and resolve discrepancies as needed.
- Support internal/external audit processes through preparation of assigned documentation.
- Cross-train and assist with Accounts Payable functions.
- May gather data to compile reports and/or create ad hoc reports.
- Complies with appropriate regulations and/or company policies/guidelines.
- Contacts other departments and/or outside agencies to resolve problems.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent. College level coursework in Accounting preferred.
Experience: Generally, 1 to 3 years of related experience. Previous experience in the insurance industry preferred. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and experience working with multiple systems preferred.
