Job Summary

The Senior Human Resources Management Consultant is primarily focused on the delivery of client services supporting a combination of monthly retained engagements and project-based engagements. The role may serve as a department of one and develops and implements strategic HR and/or Recruiting programs. In addition, the Senior Human Resources Management Consultant offers leadership/oversight for client engagements, other team members, or as a resource for clients. The Senior Human Resources Consultant takes on tactical components of the Human Resources function and had project responsibility/accountability and with a high degree of discretion to make decisions with regards to work execution that has downstream impact on success of engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Builds trust-based relationships that give clients confidence in seeking guidance on most sensitive of situations.
  • Shows initiative and proactively acts on compliance updates and strategic matters ensuring alignment with client culture and business priorities
  • Influences peers, clients, and executive leaders on HR or Recruiting strategic matters.
  • Identifies and delivers messages that may be difficult for the client to hear and would benefit them and their business for us to share; may seek guidance on developing best approach to delivering the most complex messages.
  • Develops project plan and execution strategy for defined client initiatives.
  • Sets client engagement priorities and solicits guidance from the engagement lead, as needed
  • Identifies potential scope creep and may address directly with client and provide potential solutions.
  • Initiates difficult conversations with peers and clients, gives timely and direct feedback to solve problems and improve working relationships.
  • Informs Practice Leader of the most complex situations and when asking for guidance comes with proposed solutions.
  • Develops project plan and execution strategy for defined client initiatives.
  • Sets client engagement priorities and solicits guidance from the engagement lead, as needed.
  • Identifies potential scope creep and may address directly with client and provide potential solutions.
  • Identifies potential opportunity for cross-selling with existing clients and initiates a discussion about the solution with client.
  • May serve as an engagement lead for small, non-complex engagements

Qualifications:

  • 8-12 years’ experience in Human Resources
  • A bachelor’s degree is required; An advanced degree is preferred
  • Senior Professional Certification or Multiple Certifications is preferred
  • Previous experience managing team in a supervisory or consultant capacity preferred
  • Advanced generalist skills in most tactical, operational, and strategic components of Human Resources with the ability to apply knowledge to complex situations, establish processes, and implement best and next practices that align with the client's business goals. Depth of expertise in at least one functional area.
  • Demonstrates strong written and verbal communication clearly, concisely, and confidently with all levels of employees and management at Helios and clients and through concise documentation.
