The Role at NFP

SUMMARY: This position includes a variety of responsibilities related to eligibility maintenance, premium payments, and
reconciliations for a range of employee benefit programs. A high level of detail-orientation and accuracy, while
handling a high volume and variety of work, is required in this role.


  • Process payments to carriers on behalf of employer clients and non-profit and for-profit trusts, following
    established protocols specific to each carrier.
  • Act as key liaison to carriers in the areas of premium payment issues including payment arrangements,
    termination, and reinstatements.
  • Run, review, and enter data from various audit reports used to maintain accurate benefit eligibility and
    enrollment on PPI systems and carriers/vendors systems.
  • Perform carrier and client reconciliations accurately and within required timeframes.
  • Assist with client payment posting and collection efforts.
  • Provide requested information to and liaison with auditors during the annual Trust audits and carrier audits.
  • Assist with the determination and documentation of business requirements for process improvement and
    system development.
  • Perform data entry, reconciliation, and other job-related duties and special projects as needed.
  • May assist in quality control activities and in the training of others.

  • Associates or bachelors degree in accounting or related field required.
  • Three to five years of experience in related field.
  • Must have understanding of accounting methods and terminology.
  • High proficiency in MS Excel.
  • Must have the ability to work independently and meet deadlines required.
  • Strong organizational, written and oral skills are required.
