The Role:

This is a hands-on service transition role tasked with providing oversite and governance of the Change & Release Management processes for our application hosting architecture. Work closely with the Senior DevOps Engineers and Deployment Manager to implement the approved roadmap and maintain industry best practices under the ITIL Framework for Change and Release practices.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Primary responsibilities are provide governance, continual improvement management, reporting and metrics for the effectiveness of the Change & Release Program:

  • High level of awareness and familiarity of ITIL best practices
  • Track record of success in effecting change within a technology organization
  • Ability to work across multiple levels of leadership and stakeholder groups to obtain buy in to the ITIL Program
  • Ability to translate technical details of a program into digestible language for our business partners
  • Develop and maintain KPI’s, Reporting & Metrics. Communicate each of these areas to senior leaders and stakeholders

Knowledge, Skills, and/or Abilities:


  • Basic knowledge in the two or more of the following areas: Windows Server, Microsoft IIS, Microsoft Azure MS Active Directory (AD administration, group policy, etc.), Git, PowerShell (preferred; any scripting language will work)


  • Ability to organize and manage multiple tasks utilizing effective time management skills
  • Ability to follow through on assigned tasks/projects with minimal supervision
  • Works effectively with all levels of internal technology team, end-users and management as well as 3rd party partners and vendors
  • Professional attitude, excellent interpersonal skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and strong customer service focus
  • Excellent listening skills and ability to dissect problems quickly, proactively disseminating information to the team, and escalating when appropriate
  • Ability to handle high-pressure situations in a calm and collected manner
  • Demonstrate ability to effectively convey technical ideas, issues, and solutions to a non-technical audience.
  • Strong desire to learn and ability to manage the implementation of new technology
  • Willingness to provide occasional after-hours and weekend support for hardware/software upgrades or to meet other operational needs that cannot be accomplished during regular work hours
  • Strong commitment to upholding NFP to high ethical standards

Education and/or Experience: (preferred)

  • 4 year undergraduate degree
  • 3+ years of leadership experience (small team development)
  • 2+ years of professional experience in enterprise level Change Management program
  • 2+ years of working knowledge of Release & Deployment management best practices
  • 2+ years of working knowledge of Java based application architecture and hosting
  • 2+ year experience executing infrastructure projects as primary technical lead
  • 2+ years of working within an ITIL framework (preferred)
  • 2+ years of implementing ITIL principles from the ground up

Certificates, Licenses, Registration: ITIL (preferred)
