Summary of Role:
Northeast Insurance Broker Services (NIBS) is a life/disability/Medicare supplement insurance brokerage firm in South Burlington seeking an executive assistant to support the executive, manage the office and work closely with insurance agents and brokers.
Essential Functions:
- Processing & tracking of new business applications
- Running insurance proposals under customer’s schedules
- Handling incoming and outgoing communication with customers
- Prepare, package and mailing of proposals and other marketing materials
- Coordinates and manages existing broker relationships
- Establishes and maintains paper and electronic filing systems
- Provides general office administrative assistance, answering phones, filing, copying, data entry
- Provides and models exemplary customer service and organization
- Proficient computer skills
- Coordinating time and workload with the executive for maximum coverage and efficiency
Knowledge and Experience
- Two plus years relevant life, disability and/or Medicare supplement insurance experience required
- Proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet and database software, including extensive experience current Windows and Microsoft Office applications. Ability to learn new software and websites is essential
- Proven ability to be organized, detail oriented, thorough, and accurate
- Excellent communications skills in verbal, written and electronic forms
- Past experience providing excellent customer service
- Vermont Life Health and Accident insurance license
